The sun is rising in the Luangwa Valley, and along the water's edge lies a beautiful surprise. Today, Luca and Melua are on the lookout for some spectacular looking birds called carmine bee-eaters. Luca and Melua set out early to make sure they catch them before they leave their nests for the day. Carmine bee-eaters live in large flocks along the river's edge and emerge from their burrows just after sunrise. Luca and Melua leave their vehicle with their guide, to get a better look.
